A bus crash with an auto‑rickshaw in Palnadu, Andhra Pradesh left seven people dead and eight injured, according to local reports.

A road accident in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh occurred when a passenger bus struck an auto‑rickshaw traveling on the same lane. The collision was severe, causing the vehicles to overturn and block the highway.

Emergency services arrived quickly, rescuing victims from the wreckage. Seven passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, while eight others, including the auto‑rickshaw driver, were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries ranging from fractures to serious internal trauma.

Local police have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, focusing on factors such as speed, driver fatigue and possible traffic rule violations. Authorities have urged witnesses to come forward and have warned motorists to exercise caution on busy rural roads.

The incident underscores ongoing concerns about road safety in the region, where narrow lanes and mixed traffic often increase the risk of fatal collisions.
