The District Magistrate’s Fund (DMFT) handed over 58 mobility scooters to disabled individuals in Nagaur, Rajasthan, enhancing their independence.

A government‑sponsored distribution took place in Nagaur, Rajasthan, where 58 disabled citizens were provided with mobility scooters funded by the District Magistrate’s Fund (DMFT). The handover was organised to address the transport challenges faced by persons with disabilities in the region.
The DMFT initiative allocated resources specifically for assistive devices, and the scooters were handed over after verification of eligibility criteria set by local authorities. Recipients were selected from a list compiled by the district social welfare office.
Officials overseeing the program noted that the scooters will enable beneficiaries to travel more freely for work, education and medical appointments, thereby improving their quality of life. The distribution is part of a broader effort by the state to enhance accessibility and support for persons with disabilities.
The district administration plans to monitor the usage of the scooters and consider additional allocations in future phases to reach more beneficiaries across Rajasthan.
