A 41‑year‑old man from Sudhar Patti Dhalwal, Bhagwan Singh, died after his vehicle collided with a low‑hanging tree branch on the deteriorated road linking Sudhar and Tughal in Punjab.
Sudhar branch canal’s side road that connects Sudhar to Tughal village in Punjab is in a poor condition. On this stretch, 41‑year‑old Bhagwan Singh, also known as Banti and son of Saidagar Singh, lost his life after his vehicle struck a low‑hanging tree branch.
The accident occurred on the deteriorated contact road, which locals have long complained about for its uneven surface and overgrown foliage. Emergency services arrived at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead on site.
