An inaugural bird survey in Keyi Panyor documented 38 different species, underscoring the locality’s avian richness.
Local bird‑watching volunteers carried out the first systematic bird count in Keyi Panyor, a previously unmonitored site for avian activity. The survey recorded a total of thirty‑eight distinct bird species, ranging from common residents to occasional migrants.
The diversity of species observed highlights the ecological value of the area’s habitats, which include wetlands, scrubland and riparian zones. Experts note that such a tally provides a baseline for future monitoring and helps gauge the health of local ecosystems.
Conservation groups have welcomed the findings, urging authorities to protect key feeding and nesting sites identified during the count. They plan to repeat the survey annually to track changes in bird populations over time.
