Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar announced the addition of 36 new animal residents to its collection. The arrivals span several species, enhancing the park's biodiversity and offering fresh attractions for wildlife enthusiasts.
The park has completed the construction and safety checks of the corresponding enclosures, and they are now open to tourists from today. Staff members have briefed visitors on the new habitats, emphasizing conservation messages and responsible viewing practices.
Officials expect the new exhibits to boost footfall during the upcoming holiday season, as families and school groups seek educational outings. Ticket counters are operating at regular rates, and guided tours will include the newly opened sections.
The move aligns with Nandankanan's ongoing effort to expand its breeding programmes and raise public awareness about endangered species native to the region.
