The government has transferred 33 IAS officers, including five from the former Jammu and Kashmir cadre, as part of a broader administrative reshuffle.
The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions announced today that 33 Indian Administrative Service officers will be transferred to new postings. Among the transferred officers are five who previously served under the Jammu and Kashmir cadre before the state's reconstitution.
The five former Jammu and Kashmir officers had been stationed in various capacities across the region. Their reassignment reflects the ongoing administrative reorganization following the abrogation of Article 370 and the reconstitution of the state.
The remaining 28 officers come from other state cadres. The transfers are part of a larger effort to ensure effective governance and to align personnel placements with current administrative priorities. The changes will take effect from the date of the announcement.
