A newly launched charter service from the United Kingdom landed in Goa, bringing 300 tourists to the coastal state.
A charter aircraft operated from the United Kingdom touched down at Goa's Dabolim Airport, marking the first direct UK charter service to the state. The flight carried 300 leisure travellers who are expected to spend the next few days exploring Goa's beaches and heritage sites.
The arrival is being hailed as a boost for Goa's tourism sector, which has been keen to attract more high‑value foreign visitors after a slowdown caused by the pandemic. Industry officials said the charter could open new avenues for group travel and package tours.
Travel operators anticipate that the success of this inaugural flight will encourage additional charter services and possibly regular scheduled flights, further strengthening the tourism link between the UK and Goa.
