300 Quintals of Government Rice Seized from Rianshi Trading Warehouse in Shivpuri

A joint district team in Shivpuri uncovered about 300 quintals of subsidised rice at Rianshi Trading’s Badarwas warehouse and lodged an FIR against the operator.
A combined team of Shivpuri district officials and police carried out a raid on the warehouse of Rianshi Trading Company in Badarwas. During the operation, officers recovered roughly 300 quintals of rice that had been allocated under the government’s public distribution system. The stock was found stacked in large sacks, ready to be loaded onto trucks for transport.
Authorities said the rice was being hoarded illegally, bypassing the intended channels for subsidised distribution to eligible families. An FIR has been filed against the company’s operator under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for misappropriation of public food grains.
The seized rice is now being secured by the district administration, and arrangements are underway to transfer it to the state food corporation for proper allocation. The investigation remains open, with officials indicating that further inquiries will determine the extent of the breach and any additional parties involved.
