Uttarakhand's health department reported 22 fresh H1N1 infections in Dehradun, urging residents to seek medical care and get vaccinated.

The Uttarakhand health authorities announced that 22 additional cases of swine flu (H1N1) have been identified in the city of Dehradun this week. The cases were confirmed through laboratory testing of patients who presented with flu‑like symptoms at local hospitals and clinics.
Health officials have urged anyone experiencing fever, cough, sore throat or difficulty breathing to consult a doctor promptly and to undergo testing if advised. They also reiterated the importance of completing the full course of antiviral medication for confirmed patients.
The department reminded the public that swine flu tends to surge during the cooler months and recommended preventive measures such as regular hand‑washing, avoiding close contact with sick individuals, and getting the seasonal influenza vaccine, which also offers protection against H1N1 strains.
Surveillance teams are monitoring the situation closely and have increased outreach in schools and workplaces to raise awareness about symptoms and early reporting.
No fatalities have been reported so far, and the health department continues to provide free testing and treatment for affected residents.
