17-Year-Old Girl Dies After Snakebite in Bihar's Gopalganj

A 17-year-old girl in Bihar's Gopalganj succumbed to a poisonous snakebite after a critical referral journey that spanned multiple healthcare facilities.
A 17-year-old girl, identified as Gayatri Kumari, has died from a venomous snakebite in the Bhore police station area of Gopalganj district, Bihar. The incident occurred while she was asleep at her home.
Following the snakebite, her condition deteriorated rapidly. She was initially taken to the Bhore Community Health Centre (CHC). From there, she was referred to the Sadar Hospital and subsequently to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for advanced treatment.
Tragically, despite the referral to a higher medical facility, Gayatri Kumari passed away en route to Patna. The family faced a desperate struggle to secure timely and adequate medical attention for the victim.
