The 132 kV transmission line linking Aalo and Kamba, together with its substation, has been energized, strengthening Arunachal Pradesh’s power network.
The electricity department has successfully energized the new 132 kV transmission line that runs between Aalo and Kamba in Arunachal Pradesh, along with the associated substation. This infrastructure upgrade is part of the state’s ongoing effort to expand and modernise its power grid.
The commissioning of the line is expected to improve the reliability of electricity supply in the region, reducing load‑shedding incidents and supporting residential, commercial and industrial consumers. By linking two key nodes, the line enhances the capacity to transmit power generated from local hydro and renewable sources.
State officials indicated that the new line will also facilitate future grid extensions, paving the way for additional projects aimed at meeting growing energy demand across Arunachal Pradesh.
The energisation marks a significant step toward achieving the state’s broader goal of ensuring uninterrupted power access to remote and underserved areas.
