13 dead as boat capsizes near Ramapur in Vaishali district

A boat carrying about 20 people capsized on Tuesday night in Ramapur Shyamchand Panchayat, Vaishali, killing 13. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced compensation for victims.
On Tuesday night, a boat transporting roughly twenty passengers capsized in the waters of Ramapur Shyamchand Panchayat, located in the Raghopur police‑station area of Vaishali district, Bihar. The vessel was attempting to cross a river near a dhaba when it lost control and overturned.
The accident claimed the lives of thirteen people, while the remaining survivors were rescued by local fishermen and emergency teams. Authorities have launched a rescue and recovery operation to retrieve the bodies and provide medical aid to the injured.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary visited the site and announced a compensation package for the families of the deceased, as well as immediate assistance for the injured.
