12 Bangladeshi women arrested in Sirohi, Rajasthan, deported to Bangladesh

In a specially organised raid, Sirohi police in Rajasthan apprehended twelve women of Bangladeshi origin who were residing in the district without valid documentation. The operation targeted two localities, Aburud and Aburaj, where the suspects were believed to be living illegally.\nThe detention was carried out in coordination with the Border Security Force, the state Home Department and the Information Bureau, which oversaw the interrogation and verification of their immigration status. After completing the necessary inquiries, the authorities concluded that the women were in violation of Indian immigration laws.\nFollowing the investigation, the detained individuals were transferred to the Border Security Force, which arranged for their immediate repatriation to Bangladesh under existing bilateral protocols. The handover was completed in the presence of senior officials from the Home Department and the Information Bureau.\nState officials said the action underscores the continued vigilance of law‑enforcement agencies in curbing illegal entry and stay, and that similar operations will be pursued wherever needed.
