A 10th‑standard student from a village in Bihata police‑station area was found injured near railway tracks and later died in hospital; police have arrested a suspect for kidnapping and rape.
A teenage girl studying in the 10th standard went missing from a village under the jurisdiction of Bihata police station in Bihar. Her disappearance prompted a search by local authorities and villagers.
She was later located near railway tracks in a critically injured condition. Emergency services rushed her to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Police have detained one individual in connection with the case, filing charges of kidnapping and rape. The suspect is currently in police custody and will be presented before the magistrate.
